Understanding PHP Error Levels
This article explains the different error levels reported in PHP. You can also find additional details on PHP error levels in the PHP documentation.
Error (E_ERROR)
Fatal run-time errors. These indicate errors that can not be recovered from, such as a memory allocation problem. Execution of the script is halted.
Any uncaught exceptions also throw an error and are reported as such in the log.
Warning (E_WARNING)
Run-time warnings (non-fatal errors). Execution of the script is not halted.
